How it works
Getting a write-up you can send.
Whittle does one thing: it turns a paste of rough notes into a fixed set of fields for 1 credit. Three things are worth knowing before your first run.
What to paste
Paste the notes exactly as you typed them during the call. Speaker initials, half-sentences, arrows and shorthand all help — they tell Whittle who owns what. Keep dates and deadlines in the text; they end up on the action items.
A run needs between 20 and 12,000 characters, which is roughly a two-line jot up to a long transcript excerpt. Whittle never invents a decision that is not in the text: if nothing was agreed, the Decisions list comes back empty.
Sync with Sarah re Q3 roadmap. Agreed to drop the legacy CSV export tool since under 2% usage. Sarah to draft updated spec for direct JSON webhook by Friday. We need engineering estimate from Dave by next Tuesday. Budget approved for 1 extra contract reviewer. Next meeting scheduled for Aug 14 at 10am.
Q3 Roadmap Sync & Export Deprecation
Key takeaway
Deprecating legacy CSV export to focus resources on webhook infrastructure, with spec delivery targeted for Friday.
Decisions Made — 2
- Legacy CSV export feature will be dropped due to under 2% user adoption.
- Budget approved for one additional contract reviewer.
Action Items — 2
- Sarah: draft updated spec for direct JSON webhook (due Friday).
- Dave: provide engineering effort estimate (due next Tuesday).
Full Polished Write-up
Bottom line. The legacy CSV export is being retired so engineering capacity can move to the direct JSON webhook. Spec delivery is the gating item for the next two weeks.
Decisions
- Drop the legacy CSV export — adoption sits under 2% of active users.
- Approve budget for one additional contract reviewer.
Next steps
- Sarah — updated spec for the direct JSON webhook, by Friday.
- Dave — engineering effort estimate, by next Tuesday.
Next session is scheduled for Aug 14 at 10:00.
The four styles
The style is required and it only changes the shape of the write-up — the seven returned fields are always the same.
- Executive BriefHigh-level takeaway & decisions
- Pick it when someone above you only needs the outcome and the calls made.
- Action ItemsTask focused
- Pick it when the notes exist to produce a follow-up list with owners.
- Full DigestDetailed narrative breakdown
- Pick it when the reasoning matters and the record should stay complete.
- Meeting RecapGeneral balanced overview
- Pick it when the conversation wandered and nothing should be dropped.
How notes are handled
Your notes are sent to the summarizer to produce the summary you asked for, and the finished result is stored in your own account so you can reopen it. Nothing is shared with other customers and there is no team workspace.
A run costs 1 credit, charged only when you press Summarize. If a run fails, the credit is refunded and nothing is saved. There is no upload, no transcription and no calendar connection — only text you paste.
